‘Candy Crush’ the Movie? New Trailer Hits YouTube

Is “Candy Crush” the movie on the way to a big screen?  A new trailer video has made its way to the internet, with plenty of candy crushing addicts believing that they may have a Hollywood-adaptation of their favorite game on Facebook and mobile devices.

In the recently released YouTube video, a mock movie trailer running over 3 minutes displays various game-addicted guys who band together to fight evil.  There’s the guy who loves Angry Birds, the guy who loves Fruit Ninja, and of course, the guy who loves Candy Crush.  For those living under a rock, the Candy Crush Saga is among the top apps in the iTunes Store.  The free game involves matching up pieces of candy to try to clear various levels and challenges, and yes, it’s very addictive.

We’re guessing that many candy-crushing addicts would hope this is the real deal, but from the looks of the new trailer video that’s now gone viral, we’d have to assume this is a spoof.  Still, we wouldn’t be surprised with the way Hollywood makes movies based on just about every imaginable PC or video game, that movies based on Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, and yes, Candy Crush Saga, could be on the big screen in the future.

Seen up above is the trailer video in all of it’s fun-filled glory.  What do you think, real or fake?  Should there be a “Candy Crush Saga” movie, perhaps a trilogy in the style of “Star Wars” and “Lord of the Rings”?
