Battery Usage Indicator

A lot of Apple users have their own tweaks and tricks on saving battery life right now. Sometimes, a battery saving or monitoring application is required to see which app they have installed that is consuming the most battery life. With the new Apple IOS 8 update, the guessing game stops.

By going to your settings, you’ll be provided with a list of apps that you’re currently using for the day or the entire week, and see which amongst these is draining your battery life the most. This feature will allow you to adjust your phone habits and activities.

Timer on Camera

Many individuals have taken advantage of the great resolution that iPhone cameras offer these days, but the lack of a timer feature forces other Apple users to download and use other camera applications because of it. With the IOS 8 update, you can ditch all those secondary camera apps since its native application now has a timer feature.

You can set the timer from 3 to 10 seconds, and will take burst photos, making it a great solution for those who are trying to take a group picture!

Improvement on Notes

Are you tired of the dull and boring notes application on your iPhone and iPad? So are we! Apple has finally heard what other people has to say about their default note taking application, allowing you to insert images and add basic formatting to your notes. Still, it can’t be compared to other note taking applications, but it’s a great start!

Bulk Deletion of Messages

Did you know that old messages can eat up a lot of storage space on your iDevice? Sometimes, people just don’t have the time to delete their messages, which is why old they’re left sitting in your inbox for months, or even years!

With the new IOS 8 update, you can now choose to automatically delete messages if it’s older than a month, or a year  depending on your preferences. It saves you time and storage space as well!

Grayscale Mode

The grayscale mode is not really a major update, but some people are pretty enthusiastic about it. Your phone screen turns entirely black and white while grayscale mode is activated. It gives your phone an old 1940’s look  which can also save some battery, but most importantly, this feature is made for those iDevice users who are visually impaired.

Additional Features

Other features that users will certainly love include a “smarter” keyboard which helps auto-suggest words based on the context of what you’re typing. Family Sharing will allow for as many as six individuals to share one another’s iTunes, iBooks and App Store purchases. Airdrop is expected to be integrated not just among the mobile devices like iPhone and iPad but also with Macbooks or other Mac computers. New iCloud, Health activity trackers and better connectivity among your Apple devices are also sure to make loyal iOS and Apple product fans even more enamored with their products.

There are many other Apple IOS 8 features to watch out for, and Apple will surely announce more to come in the upcoming months. In general, the improvements on this upcoming update sound promising, making more iDevice users feel thrilled and excited this coming fall.
